About the Project

The SNEEM Consortium, comprising of the Freehearts Africa Reach Out Foundation (FAROF) Lutam Farms, Dehydrator Hub and Supertech Foods Nigeria Limited as Prime Partner, with support from [GIZ], is implementing the Strengthening Nutrition, Enterprise Growth And Employment For Youths And Women Through The Vitamin A Maize Value Chain In Kaduna State, Nigeria (SNEEM) Project

 

The project seeks to reduce poverty and improve quality health outcomes in Kaduna State by increasing the vitamin A maize value chain production capacity and turnover amongst MSME processors, while contribute towards the reduction of malnutrition in households by end of 18months.

Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Independent Consultant to lead the design and implementation of a Baseline Survey for the SNEEM Project. The consultant will be responsible for developing tools, training enumerators, supervising fieldwork, analyzing data, and producing a comprehensive baseline report.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop baseline survey methodology and tools aligned with project indicators.
  • Conduct training and oversight of enumerators during field data collection.
  • Ensure quality assurance and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Produce a detailed Baseline Survey Report with findings and recommendations.
  • Present key findings to the project team and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience conducting baseline/midline/endline evaluations in donor-funded projects.
  • Strong skills in survey design, data analysis (SPSS/STATA/Excel), and report writing.
  • Demonstrated experience with EU/GIZ or other international donor projects is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
