Mr. Edomwonyi Osaro is a seasoned accountant and finance professional with over a decade of progressive experience spanning banking, microfinance, pharmaceuticals, and the international development sector. With a strong track record in financial management, budgeting, compliance, audit coordination, donor-funded project administration, he has built a reputation for excellence, integrity, and strategic financial leadership.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the University of Benin, a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Kaduna State University (KASU), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna. He is a Chartered Accountant and a certified professional with ICAN, ACCA, and CITN. He is also a Certified Forensic Accountant of Nigeria, reflecting his strong expertise in financial investigation, accountability, and corporate governance.

Mr. Osaro began his professional journey in the banking sector, serving as a Loan Disbursement Officer with Standard Trust Bank (now UBA) in Benin City. He subsequently worked with Ehor and Circular Microfinance Bank, where he gained extensive experience in financial operations and credit administration. His career further expanded into the pharmaceutical industry, where he served as Accountant and Stock Officer at Nomagbon Pharmaceutical.

Driven by a deep passion for humanitarian and development work, Mr. Osaro transitioned into the nonprofit sector, where he has played key financial leadership roles in reputable organizations. He served as Associate Director of Finance and Administration at Heartland Alliance Global Initiative for Human Rights (HA-GIHR), Kaduna, overseeing complex financial operations across Nigeria, Francophone countries, and the organization’s headquarters in Chicago, USA.

During his time at HA-GIHR, he managed high-value donor-funded projects, including the LIPS Project funded by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL). He has also worked with and managed projects supported by internationally recognized donors and development partners such as the MacArthur Foundation, GIZ, TY Danjuma Foundation, Arcus Foundation, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, and several others.

Mr. Osaro also served as Finance Manager at Icosahedron Initiative for Human Capital Development (ICO-Lab), where he was responsible for organizational audits, financial reporting, budget management, and overall financial operations. He currently serves as Finance Manager at Freehearts Reach Out Africa Foundation (FAROF), Kaduna State, where he continues to provide strategic financial oversight and support organizational growth through effective financial systems and accountability.
