WASIU is a male professional with Master in Business Administration, PGD in Business Administration & Management and HND in Accountancy, with over 17 years of progressively responsible work experience in accounting, auditing and financially oriented business management, and over 11 years’ experience in international non-governmental organization in financial, accounting setting and strong audit.He is an associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). WASIU brings account expertise paired with an ability to successfully manage teams and budgets across large and unstable regions. He has worked on partners’ capacity strengthening and assessment planning at national and sub-national levels, creating strategic alliances within donor template and organization template to effectively align with and support key deliverables initiatives. He has strengthened internal control systems in conflict affected countries (Kenya and Nigeria). WASIU has provided capacity building for financial management providers both in the public and private sector, as well as for non-governmental officials to achieve standard report showing true position of organization positioning at a particular time and thus ensure effective policy making. WASIU has worked with a variety of donors and has considerable Experience of working with DFID, including as Finance Assistant with ESSPIN Project, as well as USAID, including as Finance and Administrative Assistant with SPRING Project. Experience of working with DFID as Finance Officer with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) as well as EU Project, IMA4P Project, ICS, VFD. WASIU has consistently prioritized Value for Money ( VfM ) through his working careers and operational plans by integrating identified indicators and methodologies into the plans, such as the five year Enhanced budget planned. Presently, WASIU has contributed to the Finance Management structure of VSO, Abuja-measuring and reporting against finances and progress as well as preparing staff payroll.

WASIU has worked in the Office of the State Auditor General, Enugu State (Sept, 2007 to Sept 2008) as an Auditor and as Finance Manager in VSO measuring and reporting against finances and progress as well as preparing staff payroll.
