Emergency Maternal Obstetrics and Neonatal Care (EMONC). Training Of Trainers for Healthcare Workers in Kaduna State
In partnership with the State’s Primary Health Care Board, we carried out training of health workers in the month of May 2021. The objective of the training was to strengthen the capacity of health care workers to provide quality maternal and child health service. Participants were drawn from five Primary health Care facilities from Chikun and Igabi LGAs respectively. 11 participants were trained from each local government; a total of 25 Health Workers HW were trained on Emergency Maternal Obstetrics and Neonatal Care (EMONC) in Kaduna state.
The facilitators for the training were; Amb. Eunice Adams (The CEO of FAROF, a midwife and Mental Health Expert), Dr Joel Adze (a Gynaecologist from Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital Kaduna), Dr Afolabi Koladade (an Obstetrician from Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria) and Hajia Binta Mohammed (Chief Midwife from Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Kaduna).
